Take a Walk on the Wild Side!
Big Cat rescue is a non profit charity dedicated to the care of exotic cats. They provide a home for unwanted wildcats and educate the public in order to eliminate the causes of abandonment and abuse. The 47 acre sanctuary is home to more than 100 big cats representing 15 species and subspecies of wildcats, making it the world’s largest and most diverse collection of rescued exotic cats.
The sanctuary seeks to provide the best permanent home possible for the limited number of cats that the sanctuary can afford to take in. It also works to reduce the number of cats that need a sanctuary by teaching people how their behavior and support of stronger laws can reduce the number of big cats who are abused or abandoned.
This is done through guided tours of the sanctuary, school
education programs, the website and by providing hands on
experience to interns from around the world.
Students at our Tampa location can get two free tickets to visit the Big Cat Rescue by becoming a Facebook fan at https://www.facebook.com/TechSherpas. You will be able to take a 1.5 hour tour and get a close-up view of the big cats while you hear their stories and learn about their habitats and behaviors.
At TechSherpas, we guide you through the training you need. By supporting the Big Cat Rescue, we can allow them to be your guide in learning about big cats and how to give them a home for life. Take a walk on the wild side and visit the Big Cat Rescue sanctuary.
