Taking a remote class is a little different from being in the room with the instructor. We acknowledge the RCI classes are not for everyone. If you are tentative with technology or have English as a second language, you might be more comfortable taking a class with the instructor present.
However, most students quickly get accustomed to the remote environment. Actually, there are many people who actually prefer taking an RCI class—we get those comments every week from students! They comment that they are able to move about freely during the class, are not distracted by other students and are really able to focus more intently on the content and the labs.
Whether you prefer being with the instructor or not, most students are pleasantly surprised about the quality of the RCI experience. In fact, over 92% of RCI students say that they would take another course in that format. Here are just some of the comments that we've gotten from students:
